A busy week as usual. School, T-ball and dance. On Monday Cambree had a grandmother come to her school from India. They all got "Bindis" to wear home. She was pretty excited and even took a bath and slept without it coming off. She told me "Mom her grandma is not from Wisconsin!" then she told me she was from a place like this...then she bowed with her hand in a praying position. She is so like her mother when it comes to remembering names. She did finally remember it the next day!
Makyah was chosen to try out for a solo again for dance, so with Auntie Brook's help they worked on a routine this week. On Friday we finally got to see the Easter Bunny. With school being out we went quite early as soon as the mall opened and only had to wait a short while!
Cambree decided impromptu to get her ears pierced. She has chickened out before, but this time went through with it. She asked me if she could cry it she wanted to. I said yes, and...she did (just a little)! She also said to the girl, "lets get this over with all ready"! The rest of the day she did say she was really glad she did it!
On Saturday we went to help Mother earth and clean the Rush River. It was for Cal's work, and it actually was fun. It took no time at all, and since it was Earth day on Friday, we all felt like we did our part!
Saturday afternoon, Carolyn came with EASTER surprises and baskets!
More fake wood to build with and a dancing Liv doll! Thank you Carolyn! Thanks also for the Fairfax pool pass, we can't wait to use it!
On Sunday morning, sure enough the Easter Bunny had came. He left 4 clues for each girl and they found Easter surprises for solving each one. He even ate the carrots, water and some dip that we left him!
Makyah's first clue...
Cambree's basket was in the dishwasher!
Makyah found treats in the garage!
Cambree found treats in the dryer!
He even hid something in Makyah's bedroom. She said she didn't even hear him!
In the toaster...
and more downstairs!
The girls found lots of eggs too!
After church we went to G & G Bergs for an easter egg hunt and brunch with the family!
Cambree found lots of eggs!
Makyah found lots of eggs!
The little cousins needed a little help finding eggs!
One of them was stealing from others!
Snorkeling sets for summer!
When we got home it was so nice we made a fire and raked leaves, rode bikes and enjoyed the weather!
It was a perfect ending to a perfect weekend! Now if it could only stay like this! Here's to Spring! (Finally!) Have a great week! Happy Easter! Love, The Lokkens
