Well not an exciting week. Good news, the weather is warming up! Bad news, not fast enough!
On Friday Makyah was invited for a sleepover with her friend Chloe. She went over after school and we didn't see her until 3:00pm the next day. They went biking all the way down town, out for lunch and then to the mall. It was a long time for her to be out of the house, and I actually missed her, I guess I better get use to it! Cambree was feeling a little down that she was gone again, so we had a girls night, since Cal was out of town. We went out to eat with the Bergs and then headed to the movie, "Rango". (Cambree's choice) It was an interesting movie but quite strange as well. Cambree enjoyed it, so that is what matters. It was fun to just hang out together and cuddle in the movie! Makyah was invited to play again on Sunday, so Cal and I played video game and board games with Cambree.
Makyah, Chloe and Cams!
Sunday night we went to G & G Bergs for dinner . When we were leaving we hit a HUGE pothole on Melby and instantly got a flat tire! Not fun considering I had promised the girls a day at the MOA on Monday. Makyah was in tears and Cambree was confused:) We called the police to let them know how dangerous it was, and when he came to check on it, he hit the pothole...lost his wheel cover and bent his rim! They called someone right away to fill the hole! Only wish they had filled it earlier! Anyhow we figured a way to get the spare on and borrow Grandpa's truck to go on our trip in the morning! Thanks Grandpa...we love you! (Thanks Brook and Craig too for the help and ride home!)
Sleeping out in the living room!
Well the girls are officially on Spring Break. They will spend most of the week with Aunt Carolyn, and are excited about it! They also got report cards this week, and of course are excellent students! Makyah continues to excel in reading and is reading at a 5th grade level. She continues to be a rule follower, kind to all and a great role model. Cambree is learning to read and is above grade level in math, fine motor and art! She also is a great listener and rule follower! (At school at least:) Well that's about all for the week. We are of to MN tomorrow for some more girl fun! Let's just hope we don't have any truck troubles! Have a great Spring Break! Love, The Lokkens
