Sweet Summer Days

Well August is over and we were very busy.  Read on to see all the fun we had:)

We still think about Londa everyday, if there was a bright spot in it all, it was getting the old crew of daycare kids back together.
Back then there was lots of GIRLS...and now they are not so little!

We tried to get as many former daycare kids as we could to write messages of their favorite moments at Londas, for the funeral.  It was so beautiful to see all the balloons with heart filled messages attached from kids in their 20's to babies.
We will never forget you Londa Swan!

Cambree finished her art class this summer, where she made some beautiful art
 and some pirate gear!
On other days you can find her dressed up with all her TMNT gear:)
Right before we lost Londa, we celebrated at my Aunt Kris' wedding.
We are so happy for you Kris and Joel!
The girls handed out programs at the ceremony.

I got to hang with my sister- in-laws.
We danced the night away,
and played with cousins....
and hung out with family!

We stayed out tooooo late, but it was lots of fun.

Makyah and I attended her last summer dance competition in Schaumberg IL.
We got to stay at a fancy hotel and room with friends.

We had lots of fun, eating out and building bears...
oh yeah, and dancing!

Here is the North High team.

And Makyah's team!
They did a great job and placed 2nd overall!
Great Job Danze Kraze.

I couldn't be more proud of this girl.
On the way home, the big highlight was the Oasis
truck stop, that we called the truck mall!
Just arriving back in town we had a fun cookout with the Swans, grandchildren.
We laughed and talked about Londa, and said goodbye to the kids before they went back to Texas.

Makyah also had to jump back into dance and attend training camp (tryouts) to see what team she would be on for the fall.
She made, "Silver" team!
The second highest team...we are so proud and excited for a new competition year.
All the hard work over summer, paid off.

Izzy has been getting her wardrobe ready for the fall...I mean what girl couldn't use a new scarf.
Last summer adventure...camping.
We went back to our favorite spot; Yogi Bear in the Dells.
We figured we better use our camper one more time.
I will say it was pretty quiet there and relaxing.  Just what we needed!
We swam, hung out by the fire...
went out to eat...
and had a hay ride with Boo Boo.

We had lots of fun, and lots of family time!

On the way home we stopped at Noah's Ark for the day.
It was a 90 degree day and it was end of the season, so not long lines...perfect!

We attended the last Saturday Ski Sprites show with friends.
We watched skiers, ate cotton candy, and watched fireworks!

We did a quick shopping trip with Grandma, getting ready for Back to School!
And then Summer was over:(  BACK TO SCHOOL!
I made special notes to hide in lunches and backpacks...
and we waited for the bus:)

The day before, we attended sign in day to meet teachers.
We took lots of pictures, and some of the lighting was bad so we took more:)

Makyah's teacher, Mrs. Winter.

Cambree's teacher, Mrs. Woletz.

And the picture I take every year on the sunny bench outside of the school.

On Friday of the first week, Dad rode bike with the girls to school.
Too bad it was 90 degrees on the ride home:(
I hung out with Izzy as she found a cat in the backyard...
they did not turn out to be friends!
We went boating some more.

Cams and Dad made a shelf for her Disney Infinity characters...she was so proud!
Makyah went to a sleepover, so Cams had a sleepover too.
They made shields and played TMNT.

We started a major Garage overhaul.
  Finished pictures to come later:)
And that was our August/Beginning of September!
It was a Sweet Summer and we do not want it to end!
Until next time!
