So I was feeling so overwhelmed on how to post and tell about our trip...so I decided to start slow and just post the first few days before we got onto the cruise and then in a couple days I will post more:) Yes it is a lot of pictures but I took over 600 so what do you expect?!
We left for vacation Thursday the 20th after the kids got out of school. We had a later flight and managed to get to the airport just in time to eat, go through security and board! The flight was a bit bumpy and a lot of it happened as we were coming down, so along with cabin pressure I got very nauseous and thought I was going to puke. The girls experienced some ear pain as well, but we all managed to make it and landed safely. Loosing an hour time change it was getting late, and once we got on the magical express bus and to the hotel it was after 1am. We were all so tired, but the excitement of the hotel made it hard to go to sleep. (Note to self, don't take that late of a flight again with kids, especially on the start of your vacation!) Anyways we all slept good, but Cal had us up early as he was eager to get to Magic Kingdom. Cambree was pretty crabby as she is not a morning person anyways.
The flight!
Magical express bus!
At Magic Kingdom, the girls wanted to ride the carpets right away. The temp was a bit cooler (68) but there was low attendance and we barely had to wait to go on any rides! It stayed cloudy all day and rained a small amount but it was not too bad!
Jungle boat ride.
Cambree was asking to be carried right away so I finally convinced Cal to let us rent a stroller. What does he expect when we barley got any sleep! It was worth the $30 for the double stroller and the girls did not complain the rest of the day!
Pirate of the Caribbean Ride!
We had less than 5 minute wait to see characters and we ran into Woody and Jessie right away!
The girls were big enough to ride most of the rides and we hit the roller coasters; Thunder Mountain Railroad and Space Mountain, which both girls loved!
Cambree insisted on getting a Mickey sorcerer hat and wanted this picture taken. However she did wear the hat all trip long, which made it worth it!
More Characters.
Cams was really into Stitch this vacation!
I had the girls ride the tea cups with Cal as I was still feeling woozy from the night before. The pictures were hard to take from far away but I love the one where both girls are laughing!
The castle was beautiful as always, but they were doing some construction on it but the tarps they cover over the places they were working on were painted to match the castle exterior, so you could hardly even tell!
We caught the parade as we were heading out. We didn't stay for the fireworks, because we were all so tired and had to get up early to head over to the port!
On the way back to the hotel, Cambree fell asleep with her face pressed up against the bus window. Others on the bus were amazed she could sleep like that...that's our Cams!
The hotel was Pop Century. It was a fun theme. It was 50s,60s,70s,80s,and 90s! They had huge fun toys and themes from the centuries!
This was one of the stairwells.
The girls wanted to climb into the 90s! I don't blame them it was a great decade:)
The big wheel was the entrance of our rooms.
Giant fuse ball guys!
Giant Mickey phone was right across from our rooms!
Of course the best... Mr & Mrs. Potato head!
Well that ends the first day of the trip! After these photos, we were off to the port! In the next few days I will post more, so stay tuned and check back. It got a lot more fun! Love, The Lokkens
