Well I have no more babies! My little Cambree is now a Kindergartner! The first day went well, although she was so tired she fell asleep on the bus. She went to school on Thursday with only half of her class. On Friday she had off while the other half of her class attended. She will finally get to meet all of her class on Tuesday! She is pretty excited that two of her good friends from 4K are in her class. On Friday Cams had a quick visit to the doctor to check her tonsil removal and she got the all clear that it healed nicely! Makyah enjoyed the first few days of 2nd grade as well. She loves her teacher and has lots of friends in her class as well. She has been into making friendship bracelets and pins to exchange with them all. We also signed up for Danz Kraze and got awesome balloon creations from the clown there. Makyah signed up and we are still working on Cambree, but both girls will also be taking piano lessons.
On Saturday our family tried something new, we ran the Buck Shot race. Well... we ran about 1/2 mile, carried kids about a 1/2 mile, and walked the rest, but we made it. Makyah had a few tiers when we crossed the finish line, but Cambree made a big sprint and the end to beat us all. Overall we were all happy and proud we finished our first family race, and all for a good cause. On Sunday morning we went to G & G Bergs for breakfast outside with family and friends! We made omelets in baggies and had lots of fun with all the cousins! On Monday we geared up and went biking on the trail. We biked for lunch to Burrachos and then over to Carson Park to play. It was fun, good exercise and we just missed the rain! Well back to school today, the girls are excited, and so am I! We have had lots of arguing:( Also a special thanks to Carolyn who took care of the girls all summer. She spoils us rotten and we could not do it without her! We love you Carolyn! More to come next week! Love, The Lokkens
