Upscale Camping!

Not a lot going on last week, but we had a fun camping weekend. On Friday we headed to the Dells to camp with the bears...Yogi, Cindy and Boo Boo, at Jellystone Park. We even bought a new tent that had a rain fly this time, so we wouldn't get wet! We got lucky however because as we pulled in on Friday it was down pouring! After a quick run to get wood it quickly stopped and we did not get wet the rest of the week! After tent set up we grabbed a game of glow in the dark mini golf and had a quick swim!
The park had a lot of fun events going on all weekend and lots to look at. Cal said it wasn't real camping, but sleeping in a tent is as real as it gets, right?

In the morning we had breakfast around the fire. Cereal for Cams but pudgy pie eggs for the rest!

We rented a character site, so there were cut outs of the bears around our site. Cams had fun imitating the cut outs! Especially this one of Cindy bear!

Cams wanted her picture with every statue on the golf course. She said Boo Boo was her favorite!

On Saturday we painted ceramic Yogi ornaments to remember the trip!

At night they had a glow in the dark "Hey" ride! The girls had glow sticks and glow in the dark masks we bought before leaving town. They called it a "Hey" ride not because it had Hay, but because we all yelled "Hey" as we drove around the park. We also learned the Yogi Bear song!

On Saturday night they had a madness sale in the gift shop. The shop was amazing and every kids dream. They sold every Yogi Bear trinket and then some. Cams had her eye on the bear play set that was on sale during the big event. Makyah picked a Cindy Bear charm and a key chain!

Oh yeah and they had treats. I mean what kid wouldn't want a yard of sugar to suck down.

Of course Cams picked the sponge bob ice cream with gumball eyes!

We went on another "hey" ride on Sunday with Boo Boo. Cams was super excited and said it was the best thing ever.

The girls met a friend, Madison and played with her all day!

The pool was super fun with a water activity center and a pool with a water slide and of course a hot tub for mom and dad!

On Saturday we went into town and met Uncle Seth who was in town for a bachelor party. He gave us free wristbands for the Wilderness, so we swam there for a while. The lazy river with the conveyor belt and the tube slide was all of our favorites! We now know what if feels like to be groceries rolling down the belt!

So grown up, where did my baby go?

Thanks Uncle Seth!

We also made a little time for R&R in the sun!

It was a great trip. The girls told me over and over, "thank you for bringing us here mommy, we never want to leave" Well I can't say that I loved sleeping on an air mattress or listening to the sound of I-94 when we slept, but seeing how much they enjoyed it was definitely worth it all. After all these are the memories they will remember 20 years from now, right? One week left of summer, stay tuned for more! Love, The Lokkens
