Run Daddy Run!

Cheering for Daddy at the North Crossing!

Here he comes, and there he goes!

Eating pancakes and waiting for dad at the finish line!

Dad coming toward the finish line.

Showing Dad the signs we made!

You did it dad, we are so proud!
Junk, junk, and more junk! (Although, I don't think it's junk.) My mom is going through the entire house to get ready for the thrift sale we are having next week at Auntie Brooks. She is even getting rid of some of my toys, which I still like. I have been trying to sneak them back into my room, but she keeps finding them and pulling them back out. On Friday my mom only had to work a little bit, so I got to go to work with her. She had to say goodbye to her intern,
a-man-da. I love going to her work, but was sad Auntie Brookie wasn't there! I played on her computer a while and talked Brittany's ear off. I just love Brittany too, I mean she has a name just like one of the Chippettes from Alvin and the Chipmunks! On Saturday Makyah went to a pom, pom thingy and then had a play date with a friend. I stayed home with Dad and then Aunt Carolyn came and played. She took me to the Paul Bunion Museum and the Chippewa Valley Museum. Of course I came home with a new grizzly bear. On Sunday, it was race day. We got up early and made signs that said things like, "Run dad Run" and "I am so proud of you" My dad was at Carson park ready to run his half marathon he has been running so much to get ready for! We quickly got dressed and drove down to the North Crossing where we waited for him to run by. When we saw him coming we cheered and cheered! He wasn't even tired yet I think! Then we hopped in the car and headed down to Carson Park. We stopped to get some pancakes at Mc Donalds and headed up the hill to the finish line. My mom had to carry me a bit. It was a steep hill for me. Then we had a little picnic on the curb at the park while we waited to see dad again. Sure enough, we soon saw him heading for the finish line! He made it! I was cheering again! Then when we found him, he had a green medal. I just loved it, so he said we could share it. The whole 13 miles took dad one hour and 44 minutes! Wow I sure hope I can run that fast some day. My mom said running is crazy, but I want to do it too! When we got home we cleaned off the deck, while Makyah was at yet another play date. She played with Lydia and Liza, her old friends from Londas. Then my whole family came over for supper and I played with Paisley. It was a fun weekend and a nice day. Well this week is the thrift sale. I am sure I will have great stories from that, if my mom still has stuff to sell! (Shhhhhhh) Love, Cambree
