Forever Young!

Well what a week of winter blahs!  We are ready for spring but know March can be a surprise of more winter:(  It was a quiet week Cal was still recouping from being sick and still is coughing!  I had 15 plus families miss play group this week and Auntie Brook is down for the count as well all due to the sickies:(  I am truly thankful that our family has been healthy (-Cal).  I am knocking on wood as we speak!  I did catch a cute picture of Cambree sleeping with her eye mask on.  She slept with it on the whole night.  She has been sleeping on the couch, her dog bed (floor) and anywhere else she can think of!  She still has not been back in our bed except to snuggle, so I could really care less where it is she is sleeping as long as it's in the house!

Thursdays continues to be "no TV day" for us, but I am not going to lie...it hasn't gotten much easier. I did break the rules this week however and I rented a movie.  The kids and I have been trying to rent, "Mega Mind" but haven't had luck finding in the red boxes around town.  When I stopped at the store Thursday night they had it, so we had an impromptu family movie night, and yes it was on Thursday, but it was lots of fun!  The movie was super cute, and it is always fun to snuggle all together! Back to turning of the tube next week:(  I told the girls, we should start another day, "no sugar day" and they did not seem amused.  Funny though, today Cambree was sticking a Hershey kiss in her mouth and she said, "Mom when is it no treat day?" and I said "it was today" and she said, "sorry" and spit it out!  I told her I was just kidding but think it would be fun to try...well maybe!  This family likes their sweets!  Friday Makyah had a play date with a friend and Cambree was a little bummed!

 Cal was back to cooking this week, which I was happy about.  He made his famous mickey mouse pancakes with the girls again on Sunday and of course they love every minute of it!

 Cambree was so excited on Sunday when her friend Hailey's mom called for a play date!  Her first real play date with a school friend!  They came to get her and went to the library and stopped for ice cream. I was so happy for her, and what do you know...Makyah was a little bummed:(

 Sunday afternoon we went to G&G Bergs for supper and to quick see cousin's Cody and Payton, Uncle Randy and Aunt Sabrina.  They stopped in to say Happy Birthday to Gram Bonnie.  Her birthday is on Wednesday March 9th!  Happy Birthday Mom, we love and appreciate everything you do for us! XXOO

When we got home I caught Makyah pretending to talk and text on my old cell phone.  I loved the whole look she had dark sunglasses on and attitude in the swing of her head.  I took the first picture when she least expected it and the last one when she realized it!  I only hope she stays this innocent forever!  Here's to staying forever young! Stay tuned for more fun with the Lokkens!
