Well this is the week I wasn't looking forward to! A HUGE work week and the final packing details!
Yes I am glad it's over, work that is. I had to teach a weekend class and squeeze in lots of extras to prepare for our vacation next week...but it will be worth it in a couple days right?
Cambree was so excited because Tuesday was her half birthday (5 1/2), and she got to celebrate at school. She was bummed last month for Makyah's birthday and said it wasn't fair because she didn't get to celebrate her birthday at school, but thanks to Mrs. Dummer, she finally did! I surprised her with a little Mario key chain coin purse in the morning and she got a crown and certificate at school. She also brought home the birthday bag with birthday stories and a journal. She was to draw a picture and tell a story of her celebration. She drew a picture of the Mario key chain and told about how we had supper with Grandpa Dick, who was celebrating his real birthday (69)! Happy Birthday Grandpa Dick!
On Wednesday the girls and I went to get our hair cut. Makyah wants to grow hers out, but Cams could care less, so she got a few inches cut off. Makyah said that because she is a dancer, she just really needs long hair, so she can put it up:)
Cal finally shoveled the driveway after the few snowfalls this week, and Cambree asked him to bury her. Here she is happy as can be!
Seriously, how do you get much cuter than that?!
On Friday night while I was teaching my class, Aunt Carolyn took the girls to the "Blues Clues" play. They had a blast, and of course Cams had to meet all the characters. She thought it was so much fun that both Magenta and Blue really were really people on their hand and knees!
Thanks Aunt Carolyn, we had lots of fun!
On Sunday we finished packing! Whew that was a lot of work, but we are prepared for anything! I only hope we are not over the weight limit:)
Yep, 4 more days! We can't believe it. The excitement is very high at the Lokkens and both girls are even bummed they have to go to school tomorrow...but only 4 more days!!!
Well that ends a busy week. On Thursday Grandma Marian had her first Chemo appointment, and I am happy to hear it went well! She is a strong lady and we know she will pull through! We love you Gram Marian!
Well hopefully we can get some pictures to you next weekend. We will have the laptop, but will we have the time??? Stay tuned! Love, The Lokkens
