Yes the Lokken girls have nothing but Halloween on their minds! How can you not love Halloween when your kids enjoy it so much. Cambree told me the other day, "Mom I love Halloween as much as Christmas"...and to think at only a fraction of the cost:) This week was a first... for no TV that is. The Lokkens had their first "no TV" day on Thursday and it was a wake up for all of us. Yes I like the TV on, even for background noise, and it hasn't done the kids any favors. So for now on, Thursdays will cost the Lokkens less when it comes to paying the electric bill. Cambree's reaction was, "Mom I love no TV day", and of course she would because we put together 3 puzzles and played 2 games. Makyah's reaction was "I just don't know what to do without TV". Cal and I felt out of sorts too, but we made it until we went to bed! All of us were sleeping by 9:00 however. Cambree was an angel to put to bed, and she stayed in her own bed all night. Maybe what they say about too much TV is right! DUH! Well it was good to have it back the next day:) On Friday Cal had knee surgery again. Exactly 20 years after his first one. He has been having some problems, so they found torn meniscus and removed it along with a small cyst and some cleaning. He was a real trooper and has yet to complain. However I can complain, because the surgery was 2 hours behind and I was not prepared to sit at the surgery center all day alone, with only my phone, days of our lives and Oprah! I did get a great free lunch however. Cal rebounded quickly and by the next day was walking around without crutches. On Saturday we stopped in to a 70th birthday party for our friend Nick's Dad. It was good to see them even only for a few hours, as they quickly were off to return to New York! Then back home to carve pumpkins and make gingerbread haunted houses! On Sunday I went scrap booking for a while with some old friends and the family went to the Berg's for supper! Well I can hear the kids talking about Halloween again. Time for bed and dreams of the best Halloween ever. Stay tuned for some great Halloween pictures. Can you guess what we will be? Love, The Lokkens
Just a shot of new outfits from the "UPs" man!
