Oh Gee it's up to our knees!

What a crazy wet week at our house. With all the rain and flooding it was definitely not a dull one. Life kept us busy though. Cambree has been into writing and decided to write the numbers 1-100. She is so smart, and she did a great job. She only skipped 70 & 80 for some reason.
Excitement on Friday when we woke up and found out school was 2 hours late. Thank goodness I didn't have to work that day, so I could hang out with the girls until school started. I think they thought it was fun as well because they both said, "I don't even want to go to school". I said "to bad, so sad". At least it was a short day!

Makyah had a Birthday party on Friday night at Skate America, for her friend Katy.

So I mentioned the water was high at out house. It was kind of fun but I started to get nervous, as I have only seen the water high one other time since we lived here. We managed to stay dry however and things are on their way back down. I took a few pictures of it at it's worst!

This is the view from our playground looking over at the neighbors house. The play ground is usually on a bank. Not this day, I guess the kids can't play outside!

This is our lower deck that ended up being underwater about a foot and a half! Oh yeah and the dock can be seen floating around.

The park flooded as well. Look at the little bouncy ducks:(

Cambree got a new winter hat. Of course it went "purfectly" with my high heeled black knee boots!

The girls and I did a little baking (kind of) We made pretzel and almond bark witch fingers! YUM!
On Saturday Cal and I went to a wedding for Matt and Hannah Lunde. It was fun to be out without the kid! Look how much fun Cal is having;)

We also started piano this week. Both girls want to play so why not? Thank goodness our friends the Swans had a electric piano we could use to practice. Thanks Dave & Londa, it is so fun! (Notice the head phones, it is not that fun for all of us:)

And that is what the Lokkens have been up to! No more fears of our house sliding in the river, and it looks like the weather is going to be beautiful this week! We can't wait! Until next week... have a good one! Love, The Lokkens
