Again it has been a few weeks since we last spoke, but I finally had enough pictures to make another post! Today was Mother's Day, how fun! Well kind of I did have to make my own breakfast! The girls have been working so hard on Mother's day gifts. They painted wooden items for all the grandmas. Here is the flower they painted for G. Marian. The side that is showing is the side Cambree painted. Makyah painted the other side! We forgot to get a picture with Aunt Carolyn who is like a mother to us. She got a bee from Makyah and a dinosaur from Cams. Picture to come later hopefully!

Grandma Bonnie got a puppy and a lady bug! We had a Mother's Day supper at Grandma Bonnies and the ladies were suppose to not have to cook. I am pretty sure mom made everything!

So

Thursday and Friday Brook and I had our annual Thrift Sale. kinda scary this year as we had a new location, as they moved last fall. But behold the same people found us and bought heaps of stuff. We had to ask people if they needed bins to carry around their stuff as they were holding soooooo much. Good for us I guess. I didn't even have time to get a picture. People are crazy and they even knock on your door early to ask when your are going to open! "Some people's kids and their parents!" Overall the Lokkens made a haul and I guess it was worth the work. I counted my steps on Thursday and had almost 14,000 steps just running around helping people. The girls sold their old neck breaking roller skates and I promised them new ones if they sold, so on Sunday we picked up new skates and roller blade and they thought it was so fun. At least they are safe now. As for the rest of the money we put it in our vacation fund!

I got flowers and the new Glee c/d, and lots of homemade sweet cards!

At school Cambree made me a vase with paper flowers and wrote me a nice note!

Makyah also wrote me a nice note and drew my portrait. She also was very excited to give me the flower and pot she painted at school.
Cambree's Note...

Makyah's Note...

How can you get any cuter than this?

Last weekend was the EC Marathon. Since Cal hurt his knee, he didn't run, but we went out to cheer for the others. They run right past our house. Makyah made a sign and put it on the mailbox. Cal played the runners music, and Cambree just cheered. I enjoyed my coffee and clapped! It was fun. Hopefully Cal can figure out what is wrong with his knee and run next year!

Well that is about it! Lots to do this next week, so I am sure we will post soon. Makyah has her spring sing on Tuesday (with 2 speaking parts) and Cams will be visiting Kindergarten. In the weeks coming up Cams with graduate from 4K and Makyah has her Spring Dance program where she will be doing her solo she tried out for! So exciting! Here is to warmer weather! Love, The Lokkens
