Kyah & Cams: Catching Up With The Lokkens!

Ok so we are finally posting to catch you up on the past few weeks...

Cambree celebrated the 100th day of school and had to wear 100 of something. The suggestions were froot loop necklaces and so on, but it also said be creative. So..... we came up with googly eye monsters! We printed out three monsters, ironed the on and added 100 googly eyes! She was very proud of her shirt and told all the kids at school that they could not touch them! Amazingly it came home with all eyes attached! Makyah had a 50's dance at school to raise money for the kids in Haiti. Ok, so we got a few days notice that you could dress up in 50's attire if you wanted. Well this mom is not going to send her kid without the right out fit. So we quickly scrambled to make 2 skirts for Kyah and Cams. The girls looked cute in their pink poodle skirts and neck scarfs! Makyah danced the night away with her friends, while Cams sat on my lap to shy to do anything. Kyah on the other hand even participated in the 50's catwalk. Wow she surprises me sometimes! I am so proud when she tries things out of her comfort level! Last weekend Cal was gone for another curling tournament, so the girls and I (and G. Bonnie) set off last minute to go to the cities! We went to IKEA, Toys R Us, Chucky Cheese and the MOA. It was a full day of shopping fun. The girls really enjoyed Chucky Cheese and I really enjoyed IKEA. Can't wait to go back when we remodel the basement. On Sunday it was sooooo beautiful out that the girl went outside at 9:00 in the morning and stayed out for 8 hours. Makyah said it was the best day ever, and Cams didn't even bother to get dressed. They discovered dad's walkie talkies and played with the all day. They even had a picnic in the grass. Last but not least Makyah lost another tooth. (That makes 6) It came out in the middle of the night and luckily she didn't swallow it. When she put it under her pillow she received another $3 (plus $5 from Grandpa) and continues to save for her laptop! I think between Grandpa and the Tooth Fairy she has made $50! I thinks she is starting to pull them out on purpose! LOL Well that is what has been going on at our house. Looking forward to a hopefully warm Spring! Later days, The Lokkens
